Leora D. Freedman

Facilitator and Trainer

Leora Freedman brings a wealth of real-world and legal experience to JAMS Pathways. She was first “bitten with the mediation bug” while serving as a law clerk to a federal judge who introduced her to settlement conferences and the art and science of conflict resolution. She has applied those lessons to her work as a mediator and business litigator and, more recently, during more than a decade of service in general counsel and senior human resource roles in institutions of higher education including at California State University, the nation’s largest four-year public institution of higher education.

“Conflict should be addressed and managed in the workplace using fair and streamlined processes that are clearly communicated to those affected and that earn their trust.”

As a Pathways facilitator and trainer, Leora is committed to helping clients design and implement conflict management processes just as intentionally and effectively as they manage their information, finance and human resources systems and processes.
